Strides in learning. Strides in life.
From education’s societal impact to the need for greater diversity in business, Stride has great influence on our communities. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) is not a responsibility we take lightly. Indeed, it’s part of our organizational identity.
Stride (and our society) depends on diversity and inclusion
We Stand Together — It’s Stride’s top-down initiative to cultivate our communities, bridge differences, and engage others who have different experiences. From our learners and partners to our teachers and leaders, diversity and inclusion is front and center.
Stride has joined 1,400+ executives in our commitment to the CEO Act!on for Diversity & Inclusion. We’ve also joined a select group participating in the CEO Act!on for Racial Equity fellowship.
Below is a message from our Executive Chairman, Nate Davis. Our extensive efforts also include:
$20 million in scholarships
including $10M for students of color to attend college, Stride-powered private schools, and career bootcamps.
Systemic racism and black history courses
and modules will educate K–12 learners on racial inequity and help us collectively shape a better tomorrow.
Responsible law enforcement pathways
that promote economic inclusion in underserved areas and provide certification exam prep, work-based learning, internships, and partnerships through Stride Career Prep.
Growing diversity in our organization
to include people of all ethnicities and experiences — including partnerships with HBCUs and a focus on hiring underrepresented Black male teachers.
Community of belonging
that invites every team member to contribute to our culture of understanding, including employee resource groups that span various communities.

Safeguarding our planet’s future
The future of our planet is in our hands. Whether the auto, energy, or education industries, it’s on every organization to contribute to creating a healthy and sustainable world. At Stride, we’re doing our part to:
- Educate learners on our environment and emphasize the importance of sustainability through environmental studies and sustainability courses.
- Minimize transportation and pollution by expanding the prevalence of online school and minimizing the number of students and teachers who travel to school.
Governance that leads by example
Governance that leads by example
Responsible governance starts with leaders and their mindset. And at Stride, our executives and Board of Directors never lose sight of their responsibility — to everyone in our community.
- Our Board of Directors is 90 percent independent — Our CEO is the only Stride employee who sits on the board. It also comprises 30 percent women and 40 percent minorities.
- Extensive internal audit policies and systems ensure that our stated ethics are consistently and comprehensively served.
- ESG oversight from our actively engaged board of directors ensures progress and transparency in our comprehensive efforts.
