To qualify for Indiana's Choice Scholarship Program, students must be Indiana residents between ages 5 and 22 as of October 1 and meet the income requirements.*
To meet the 2023–2024 income requirements, families must have an annual income that does not exceed 400% of the amount required for the student to qualify for the federal Free or Reduced Lunch program (FRL). The following table breaks down income eligibility per household number:

*The first application period is open from March 1, 2023 to September 1, 2023. The second application period is from November 1, 2023 to January 15, 2024. The income and eligibility criteria list goes into effect on June 29, 2023. The expanded, simplified Choice Scholarship will allow more Indiana families to use state funds for private schools.
