The Stride Career Prep program is different from a traditional school experience. Combining career pathways with traditional academics offers:

College Preparation
Students can start on college while still in high school by exploring majors and saving on college tuition costs with credits through dual enrollment courses at select schools. K12 also offers AP® courses that follow the curriculum specified by the College Board, designed to help prepare students to take the AP® exam in a particular subject. A student's AP® exam score may also allow them to receive college credits, as determined by the college.*
Industry Experience
Students can connect with industry professionals through online sessions, and can learn about their field directly through job shadowing opportunities, apprenticeships, and internships.*
Skills for the Real World
Students learn to think inside and outside the classroom with project-based learning while building professional skills—like collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving—and technical skills specific to their career field.
Industry Certification Exam Prep
Students can take their career to the next level as they prepare for more than 40 industry-recognized certification exams that can give them an edge up over the competition.†

**Stride Career Prep is a program for grades 9–12. At some schools, career exploration is offered in middle school.
†Many Microsoft®️ Office certificates can be earned after completing one course. Other certificates require more classes to be better prepared, and students who participate in the program for at least two years will have further preparation for certification testing.
