Dr. Jodi Marshall

Dr. Jodi Marshall

SVP, Stride Learning Solutions

Dr. Jodi Marshall is one of the country's foremost online education executives with more than twenty years of experience in K–12 and higher education. In her current position, Dr. Marshall manages a diverse range of flexible, customizable academic programs. She also leads initiatives that support Stride's career learning programs and strengthen online administrator, teacher, and parent training.

Dr. Marshall most recently served as senior vice president of regional school services for Stride K12-powered schools in the southern region of the country. Previously, she was president and chief executive officer of Florida Virtual School (FLVS). At FLVS, Dr. Marshall oversaw an organization that supported more than 300,000 full- and part-time students, with revenues of more than $220 million. During her tenure at FLVS, Dr. Marshall also held roles as executive vice president of business and school solutions, chief academic officer, vice president of instruction, instructional leader, as well as a variety of other positions.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Marshall was a middle school literacy teacher and reading specialist—in Florida and California respectively—and worked with underserved students who read below grade level. During her tenure in California, she was the first person in her district to earn National Board Certification and authored a book on sustained silent reading (SSR).

Dr. Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Florida, a master's degree in English education from the University of Central Florida, an education specialist's degree in educational leadership and administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Miami. She also earned an MBA in innovation and entrepreneurship from Florida International University.

Lori Overstreet has more than 25 years of experience building innovative EdTech customer solutions and integrated marketing programs across the entire customer journey to grow global businesses.  At Stride Learning Solutions, Ms. Overstreet leads marketing and growth initiatives for Stride's enterprise School Solutions serving school districts and Stride’s private schools . 

Prior to joining Stride, Ms. Overstreet held EdTech leadership roles focused on marketing, sales, and general management at Discovery Education, McGraw-Hill Education, and Sylvan Learning.  Ms. Overstreet started her career in healthcare with Bausch & Lomb.  She has a track record of success in driving growth, strategic brand development, new product launches, and demand generation.

Brian Resnick

With over fifteen years in education, Brian Resnick has a wealth of knowledge and experience in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Prior to his current role, he was senior director of board partnerships and compliance for Stride, Inc. Before coming to Stride, Inc., Mr. Resnick oversaw partnerships and business development at Hotchalk. He also served as chief revenue officer at Calvert Education, where he transformed the business from a school-based business-to-consumer model to a school-based business-to-business model.

Previously, Mr. Resnick served as executive director of the global division at Florida Virtual School (FLVS) where he led the department in all aspects of sales and marketing services. In this role, he monitored education initiatives throughout the country to drive strategic planning and growth and helped build FLVS business and brand outside of Florida.

Mr. Resnick earned his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Potsdam, and his MEd in educational leadership at Stetson University. He started his career in education as a government and economics teacher and basketball coach at Olympia High School, and still lives in the Orlando, FL area.

John Jacobs is a results-driven, entrepreneurial leader committed to building world class online learning partnership offerings. He has had a long-time passion for combining business and education, and has dedicated the last 15+ years of his career working to support online learning choice for students, families, and educational organizations.

Before joining Stride, Mr. Jacobs served as the Executive Director of one the largest online learning consortiums in the country – Wisconsin eSchool Network Inc (WEN). He has served as a board member of the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance since 2014, State Superintendent Appointed Charter School Advisory Member, State Digital Learning Advisory Committee Member, State Superintendent Appointed ESSA Stakeholder Council Member, Governor Scott Walker Biennial Education Budget Planning Contributor, Co-founder of the Wisconsin Digital Learning Collaborative, and Past Advisory Council Member for numerous digital learning vendors.

Rick Perkins has a wealth of expertise in academic models harnessed from more than 18 years of leadership experience in the virtual school industry and 25 years in education as a teacher, building administrator, and educational leader. At Stride Learning Solutions, Mr. Perkins leads development and operation of virtual instruction program models for districts across the country.

Prior to joining Stride, Mr. Perkins held EdTech leadership roles at Edmentum and Florida Virtual School. He has a proven track record for improving instructional quality and service, growing school enrollments, and increasing student performance with higher completion rates, passing rates, and student satisfaction.

Mr. Perkins earned his undergraduate degree from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
